About
Project Kindness, created in 2014, is a collaborative effort between Einstein Medical School and Welier Hospital. Founded by Dr. Nadine Katz, Vice President of Montefiore Medical Center and Joan Junger, Past Director, Office of Student Activities at Einstein Medical School. Student input is crucial with an Advisory Panel of volunteers instrumental in decision making.
The main goal of Project Kindness is to help students build critical communication and interpersonal skills while improving the quality of life of nearby hospital patients. Students make "kindness visits" based on the availability in their schedules. Project Kindness visits are flexible to fit in with a busy medical school schedule.
Participation in the program is included in the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE). MSPE are prepared during your 3rd year and are completed for all students. MSPEs are included with all residency applications.
